Today's Featured Vendor is: Bella Petite Lingerie!
"While I went to school for a business degree, art has always been a love of mine. My father was an artist and my childhood memories are rich with times when my father would bring home art supplies for myself and my sister. Some of my fondest memories are of my father teaching me how to draw. I loved drawing and in high school was always sketching women in evening gowns. It was always a hobby, something I did for fun and something that brought relaxation to me. I had no idea that I would draw on this love of art later in life to start a business.
It wasn't until a few years ago that the idea for Bella Petite Lingerie came to life. After unsuccessfully finding lingerie to wear on my honeymoon that would fit and flatter my small bust, out of frustration I said to my soon to be husband "I should just make my own!" He replied "Then why don't you?" He knew I have always loved sketching and felt I could use those talents to design some beautiful pieces. I began my sketching and fast forward three years when my first line was actually launched.
I enjoy going to craft fairs as I appreciate all the amazing talent that others have. I have been able to take my work experience and my business degree to apply it towards starting up our company. I used my artistic talent to come up with designs that are specifically made to flatter a woman's small bust. One of my goals is to help women embrace their natural beauty. Art comes in many different mediums, and the hope is to touch, inspire or move people with the artistic creations that are made. I hope to inspire other women to be confident in their bodies as they are, and not beat themselves up for not looking the way society defines "beauty". I believe beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, colors, etc."
